I have the highest regard for the service provided by Haven home care. As my wife died 8 years ago I am alone for a vast majority of the time and see and speak to very few people. The excellent staff from Haven home care brighten up my life by coming to me two days a week. They are never in a hurry and will sit down and have a cup of tea and discuss what ever is happening in the world. Before I availed of their help, I was unable to have a proper wash as I was afraid of falling and getting hurt. Now with their help, I can have a shower and feel so much better because of it. They look after everything laundry,groceries,housekeeping and even making jam from my own blackcurrants. Without their help I feel that I would not be able or willing to continue living in my own home.

"My sister and I felt we had reached a crisis point in our efforts to provide care for our parents. In addition to all the physical needs that weren't being met, I was also trying to find some kind of mental support for my mother by getting her more involved in community and church activities. I spent hours on the phone, long distance, (we both live in America) trying to make things work; but it was utterly frustrating.
"We asked Eileen to tell us what they could do to help, and she could sense the urgency of our call. She came to the home the next day and helped us find solutions we didn't even know were possible. But the solutions to problems were only a small part of the whole picture. "Eileen came over to really listen to our needs and to do an assessment of the whole story.She talked with our parents, took the time to understand and demonstrate her interest and care, listened to our history and hopes for the future.
"I was greatly comforted with all I'd seen and heard by the time I had to leave. I returned just a couple of weeks later and had the privilege of witnessing that everything had already come together. My parents are in good health, enjoying the home cooked meals and 1st class treatment that Haven home care are providing. This offers us great peace of mind, knowing that they are in safe hands.
